Music By Masons
As part of our Music By Masons series, here is a page on Francesco Geminiani, an Italian composer and violinist who became a Freemason in London in 1726.
Geminiani was Initiated in Lodge Philo-musicae at -architecturae societas Appollini (or the Appollo Society for the Lovers of Music and Architecture) in London circa 1725. This Lodge appears to have been short lived, existing only between 1725-1727. A researcher named Andrew Pink has completed a PhD thesis on Geminiani and Freemasonry.
Here are some YouTube videos of works by Francesco Geminiani.
