Deceased Brethren
At present we do not know a lot about Nanaimo pioneer George Lewis Bevilockway, a member of Ashlar Lodge No.3, but we will do some research on him and post what we find.
We do know that he was a member of Nanaimo Lodge No. 1090 and that he served on Nanaimo City Council while Mark Bate was Mayor of Nanaimo.
He joined Nanaimo Lodge No. 1090 in May 1868. His Petition for Initiation in 1868 says he was aged 24, residence: Nanaimo, occupation: Miner. he was Initiated in Nanaimo Lodge, No. 1090 on 6 May 1868, Passed 11 June 1868, Raised 8 July 1868.
George Bevilockway is buried in Bowen Road Cemetery, Nanaimo, B.C.
