Mississippi Fred McDowell (1904-1972) was a very influential blues musician. His composition “You Gotta Move” was covered by the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, among others.

Mississippi Fred McDowell was also a Mason. There is a Square & Compasses on his grave in Como, Mississippi. We are currently researching his Lodge connections and we will post what we find.
